“Our physical space is shutting down and we’ll be on hiatus indefinitely – but that’s not a goodbye forever,” Revolver wrote. “I don’t know what form LMA will take in the future; I am confident that something new and beautiful will come out of it.

On Saturday a GoFundMe campaign titled “For the Love of Lucent” was launched and raised over $ 600 of a goal of $ 3,500.

Revolver says the Lucent Movement Arts community will always have the company’s social media pages as a way to stay connected.

“LMA’s core values are resolved,” Revolver continued. “ALL bodies are worthy of inclusive, accessible and safe spaces for dance and movement. Body liberation and healing is our foundation and we will continue to fiercely defend this message on our social platforms.”
