Dance On Broadway’s mission is to provide the highest quality dance education to children and adults in an environment that promotes diversity, equity and inclusion. Dance On Broadway offers a variety of ballet, contemporary, hip-hop, jazz, Latin, modern, pointe and tap dance classes for students of all skill levels and ages.
“We are honored and delighted to have opened our studio in Chicago’s vibrant Lakeview East,” said Cheryl Cutinho, studio owner, Dance On Broadway. “First and foremost, dancing is our passion, and we are overwhelmed by the support the community has provided us in such a short time. Inspired by my daughter’s love for dancing and having observed the need in the vibrant Lakeview East area of a dance studio, I am delighted with the positive impact we are having in the community. Dance On Broadway offers classes for kids of different levels including Lovebugs, Pre-Academy, and Academy. For adults, Dance On Broadway offers adult classes in a variety of dance and fitness genres including ballet, fusion barre, body resilience, contemporary, hip hop, jazz, Latin, modern. , tap dancing and zumba. There are adult beginner (no previous dance experience required), intermediate and advanced course options.
Dance On Broadway’s Lovebugs program offers children ages 18 months to six years the opportunity to begin exploring movement to music and the joy of dancing with a parent or guardian in a warm and friendly environment with play and instruction . The Pre-Academic Dance Program offers students ages seven to fifteen a wide variety of styles in a relaxed classroom setting. Options include Ballet, Contemporary, Hip Hop, Jazz, Modern, and Tap. Pre-academic courses focus on teaching students to explore their self-expression through movement. The Academy’s program is aimed at the avid dance student who wishes to study several genres of dance with the aim of participating in dance competitions.
Dance On Broadway can host private studio events for adults and children, including birthdays. Available for ages three and up, the Dance On Broadway Anniversary Package includes a one-hour and thirty-minute age-appropriate dance experience led by professional dance teachers. Options for birthday celebration themes include Princess Party, Broadway Ballet or Broadway Boogie for ages three to six, and Jazz or Hip-Hop for ages six and up.
The three Dance On Broadway studios total over 2,500 square feet with the following specifications: Studio A measures 1,125 square feet and measures 45 ‘x 25’, Studio B measures 784 square feet and measures 28 ‘x 28’, and Studio C measures 600 square feet and measures 20 ‘x 29’. Each of the three studios includes mirrors along at least one of the walls, Sprung Marley floors, state-of-the-art audio equipment to accommodate cellphones, tablets and laptops, plus separate changing rooms and toilets for men. and women.
